The Story Behind the Photo:
Tucked away between Jay's Oyster Bar and Harbor Fish Market, this quiet Portland spot attracts very few tourists. So it's one of my favorite spots to capture a calm moment of Portland's working waterfront. But rarely is the water as calm as it is in this moment. I had just gotten back from a trip to New Orleans and wanted to feel Portland again. So I found myself here, staring at the gentle ripples in the harbor scattering the amber light as I felt the weight of the heavy clouds moving in. The temperature dropped as this December day drew closer to an end and I realized how lucky I was to be here. Click.

Picture quality is great but it came tightly curled up and had some rough edges. Once framed it was great, but I didn't expect it to come rolled up.
